Scrap Basket

My sewing this week.....

It was a project in Popular Patchwork's Bag Special. I used some leftover jelly roll strips and some linen I got from Ikea. This would be great for storing any crafty project, fat quarters of fabric or would look great in a nursery filled with baby paraphernalia!

I thought I would try reducing the fabric oin my scrap bin by making a start on a Scrap Vortex quilt as seen on http://www.crazymomquilts.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/scrap-vortex-qal-week-2.html?m=1

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Make up bag and brush roll

I saw this tutorial a while ago.

It wasn't until I was on holiday recently I realised how much I needed one!

This came out a lot larger than I thought it would be, measuring approx 21cm x 12cm x 10xm.

The tutorial had a tuck lock. I'm not sure what style of fastening to add, maybe a large feature button, ribbon ties or I may even leave it as it is.

The wrap-a-round brush roll with 7 little brush pockets.

I think this could also make a handy pouch for crafty projects on the move.

I really enjoyed making this, don't be surprised if you see these in different colours sometime soon!
